Share My Mercy

Oh sweet Jesus.  You have come with Mercy.  You give Mercy and You invite us to share Mercy with others.

How abundant Your Mercy is!  How gentle and subtle Your Mercy is!  How marvelous Your Mercy is!  How needed your Mercy is!

Grant us Lord the Grace to receive your Mercy and then willingly pass it on.

Stand in awe of My Mercy because you will not see it in action at all times, yet know it is in action working gently on hearts that so desperately need it.

You have to believe and trust in My Mercy otherwise you will flounder when times get tough.

See that I am Merciful on those you dearly love, see that I am Merciful on those you may not hold in very high esteem!

Understand that My Mercy falls on all – not just the good and just.  It falls most willingly on ALL.

Do you not think that those who are struggling with their spiritual life do not need My Mercy?

You see I did not say those who are bad, because really what makes us bad is a wrong relationship with Me.  i.e. You do not have a healthy spirituality.

Now you may say that some people are good and yet may not be Church goers.  I tell you they still know and follow Me by their good thoughts and deeds.

Hush your mind from wondering who is good or ‘just’ enough to gain My Mercy.

You are all sinners.  So I have come to treat those who have sinned and My Medicine is Mercy.

You know when you are sick you can’t help others, yet when the medicine you take makes you better, you reach out to help others.

That is why I pour My Mercy over you all.  You need to be made better, so you can be better to others.

If I withheld My Mercy because I felt you did not deserve it, then how would you ever be able to do enough to look right in My Eyes?

My Mercy flows freely from My Sacred Heart and is directed and sometimes just caught by a soul who at that moment realizes it needs My Mercy.

So do not withhold your mercy on others.  Let it flow freely and perhaps it may even land on someone you least expect needs it.

You know how good you feel when you realize that God treats you with great gentle Mercy.  He has given us the sacraments, He has given Himself to us in the Eucharist, He has taught us how to pray.  He has spoken Words of Guidance for us all.

He cares for us so much and does not want one of us lost.

That is why you cannot escape His Mercy.  You can ignore it, turn away from it, but you can’t turn off the Source so you can’t turn off the availability of His Divine Mercy.

Ask Me each day to show you Mercy.  Ask Me each day to show you how to pour forth My Mercy on others.  Remember it is never your mercy but rather My Mercy flowing through you.

You can sprinkle His Mercy on others without them even knowing it!  Just as if you were flicking holy water on them, also flick My Mercy.  It takes but a second or two to do but shows Me well into eternity how precious and powerful you know My Mercy to be.

Trust in My Mercy.  Sometimes when we look around at a family situation we feel things are lost.  But you hasten to get My Mercy poured over you so your soul does not go down a dark path of hopelessness and along with that sprinkle My Mercy on the situation.  It gives you something to do instead of standing around feeling hopeless.

Thank Me for My Mercy which I tell you may not be blatantly obvious, but I tell you it is still in great action.  So do not doubt but believe.

Just do It.

Hasten to write My Marvelous Words.  Words of healing and hope.  Words of inspiration.  Words of caring.

I want you here with Me in My Most Sacred Heart to enjoy all the blessings I want to pour over you this day.

Your heart will be strengthened, encouraged, made happier, made stronger, made wise and yet more humble.

When you are in My Sacred Heart you come to realize that you are no longer the center of all that hurts, all that harms, all that enlightens, all that shares, all that loves.

This sounds funny perhaps, but it is only meant to show you that you are not in charge.

That you do not have to worry about the business of the World, but rather be affirmed in My Love for you and how I want to and will care for all the World  --  you included.

Now that does not mean that you do not care for others, but you do not have to worry about caring for others.  When the chance to care arrives, you just do it. You don’t ponder what should I be doing Lord to serve you.  Rather you just serve when the need arises.

It takes all the planning out of your day doesn’t it.

Just let Me remind you, let your heart be open to My Suggestions and Guidance.

When you surrender your day, yourself, your heart and soul to Me that is really what you are saying.  You are telling Me you are open to My leading you.

So you do not have to worry about getting there by yourself or what you should do today to serve Me.  You have already done it.  You have submitted, surrendered yourself to Me and that is the total service I call you to.

Once you have done that, then all else you do for Me during the day is just a fulfillment of your initial surrender!

It is not in addition to your initial surrender, but it is what comes forth from your initial surrender!

Do you understand?  I hope so.

And remember, you can surrender more and more of you throughout the day.  Not that I did not hear your initial surrender, but our relationship is further strengthened when you return to surrender more of you to Me.

It is just a deeper and deeper surrender of your soul to My Sacred Heart.

I bless you this day with a new heart.  Take good care of it as you endeavor to give all of you to the ALL of Me.

the Blessings of being here

I come to care for My People.

Stretch out your hands and let Me lift you up.  See in Me your care-giver.

I want to wander through nursing homes and touch each person there.  I want them to know that My Touch is all they need to take them through another day.

Come, join Me and lift up to Me all those in nursing homes.  Let us break free from the fetters that bind us – to a bed, wheelchair, house and be lifted up by My Glorious Words that I want to whisper in your ear. “I Love you.”

It is by far no waste of you time being here in a nursing home.  It may not be where you would choose to be, but let Me show you the blessings of being here.

It seems stark, distasteful, unpleasant being here.  And at first that may be your reaction.  And do you plan to exist with this temperament or do you want to live in joy as you had before?

Well, joy and even more than joy is possible here.

Will you give you over to Me right now and let Me be all for you in this nursing home.

Will you let Me lead you in a deeper prayer life than you have ever had the opportunity to have before?

What you may want is the well-known comforts of home that satisfy your body needs and yearnings.

Yet I have given you a chance to step out of that comfort zone into a new area of your life.

We all think nursing homes are a bad ending to a life.

They are another room in your life experience.  It does not mean the end.  It offers a new opportunity to practice patience with yourself, with Me, with your family.  It offers you an opportunity to look around you and assess all the blessings you have had in your life.

It allows you to look around and ask Me to show you how I want you to bring God into this place.

You may never have had the opportunity to do this before.  Now you have the time to spend more in prayer with Me and praying for all those you meet during the day.

It is a time not for you to look for comfort as much as to strive to be able to comfort with a touch, a word, a gesture, a smile.

All is not lost, even though you seem to be cast off from the ‘outside world’. 

One in Spirit

My People wait for My Word. You will not find it anywhere else but in Me.

I don’t want you making up flowery words just to make you or others feel good.

My Words should shake, rattle the cage, bring you to a sudden stop, reveal a mystery that you have not known before this.

Set My Captives free.  Do you see we are fearful of stepping up to be more with Me.  I ask and you find an excuse that takes you back to you.

Peace be with you.  I want you so to know the Peace I offer.

Leave all else right now and come to Me.  You do not even have to get out of your seat or off the couch. You come in spirit to be with My Spirit. 

Where did I put Jesus?

Close your eyes.  Am I still with you?

You do not need to see Me to know that I am with you.

I want your trust in My Presence in your life to be stronger than any 20/20 vision.

Rely on the spiritual sense of Trust.

Trust that I am here with you.  Say to yourself  “Jesus is here with me now.  Jesus is always with me.  Jesus never leaves me.”

Affirm this to yourself in times of trouble. 

Affirm this to yourself when you get impatient, angry, down, despondent.

If Jesus were physically present with you, would you ever feel those feelings?

If He was sitting next to you on the couch would you get angry?  Most likely not!

So when we get upset, angry, impatient, we are really saying “Jesus you are not present to me right now.”

Would  we say bad words, have bad thoughts if  Jesus was sitting in the room with us?  Most likely not!

So when we experience negative feelings, just check your heart.  Where have you put Jesus so that we feel we can think and do and say things that we would not do if He were physically present with us.

It is a great test eh?  Where did I put Jesus?

Did I leave Him in the other room so I could stomp off into my bedroom and growl at such and such?

If He came around the corner and we were stomping around mad and upset and He caught us, would we feel embarrassed or make excuses or blame another for our mood?

Do I think that somehow Jesus is not with me when I get cross?  If He was ever before my spiritual eyes, very rarely would I fall into negative emotions or bad behavior.

Trust that I am with you always. Not just to save you from outside harm, but to help prevent you from harming your own soul by your thoughts, words and actions.

If you get upset, look around and ask Me “what do You think of what I just did/said, Lord?”

I may ask you – was is it necessary?   Did it improve the situation?  Who got hurt by your words? Did your soul feel refreshed after this angry outburst????

Ask Me to put your anger into context

Ask Me to enlighten you as to the serious danger of untreated anger.

Be willing to listen when I say I don’t want you walking in that dark abyss.

Did your anger improve our relationship and your relationship with others?

Trust that I am with you always. 

When you start to stomp off, take My Hand and ask Me to lead you to safe ground.

Trust that I will do this if you only ask Me.

Anger blinds us.  So when you feel the first glimmer of anger arising, take My Hand and ask Me to lead you far, far from anger.

Now sleep.

Sleep trusting in My Constant Presence.  Trusting that I am the only one who can lead you to safe ground.

I Love you.  Be at peace.  Be loving, kind, considerate.

Practice Patience.  I have given you lots of opportunity so please make use of acquiring the fullness of this virtue.
