Where did this start? How has our relationship grown?
Let’s see.
Would you have known more of Me and My Love for you of it had not been
for these Words of Mine?
We all need encouragement. We all need direction. We all need a Loving God.
Have you not found all of these in My
Words? They spill forth over all the
World asking all people to take shelter in Me.
Shelter is a direction you know. It is a place you go to help keep you safe,
warm, at peace, content, satisfied.
Shelter provides a destination – but not
only a destination, but a relationship within the destination itself.
When you seek shelter in your house from
the rain, does the house respond to you with Love? It can’t.
It does not have feelings. It
does not have a heart.
We can say we find peace there, but we can
also find anger and fighting in a house.
When you seek shelter with Me, you will
never find anger or fighting. You will
find a real heart to heart relationship – not possible when you seek shelter in
anything else.
A house can rot and decay and fall
apart. I never will.
So, think of what else you seek shelter
in. The bottle.
And where do the contents of the bottle
take you? They do not provide shelter or
peace because you end up craving them more and more.
I would Love you to crave Me, to anticipate
our next and next meeting.
But craving Me you have done all your life and
thought you might find it elsewhere. But
you know you can’t.
What a great craving because it will never
lead you astray, dump you, insult you.
Craving Me only leads you to more Love and Understanding than you have
ever had from anyone or anything.
Look at what you crave. What does it fulfill for you? Does it just fill your time with happy
thoughts and adventures, but it always passes doesn’t it till we seek the next
adventure.
The adventure that I supply never runs
out. Yes, your heart may seek it more
and more, not because it desires to renew what it first experienced but rather
it desires to grow in the experience.
Your heart easily realizes that this Love,
this adventure, far surpasses any human adventure because it is of Love and
from Love. It is Constant, never gets
tired of you, never abandons you, never evades you.
You can find the same adventure from a
hospital bed as much as you can find it out in the country side seeing a
fabulous sunset!
So, you see the difference. This adventure is with you always. You do not have to physically go off to
experience it. Tell Me what adventure
you have heard from others that they have not had to go off and experience.
Sure, you may go for a spiritual
weekend. Yet really and truly you did
not have to physically go. You could
just as easily told Me in one sentence “Lord I am seeking You.” And I would
have supplied it.
Don’t get amazed at this and that because
the physical experience can soon fade away.
Certainly enjoy it, but in the enjoyment of it realize that it comes
from Me. Not just from your emotions and
feelings both of which can change at the drop of a hat.
When we experience ‘things’ a beautiful sunset,
a large ice berg, name any adventure you have been in, have we stopped and
thanked Me abundantly for such an experience? Think about it.
The health of our relationship lies in you giving
gratitude for ALL you experience. Have
you thanked Me for the book and the pen and the cold morning air?
You thank Me for the sunshine, but is your
thanks just as much for the cool morning air?
We tell ourselves “well it is going to get warmer, thank goodness.” Right?
So this is how I am encouraging you to have
adventures. Bring all your experiences
into My Presence with grateful thanks.
Don’t you think everything that I allow in
your day is worth a thank-you? But, as
humans, if we don’t have a good feeling from it, we certainly are not thankful
for it are we.
But thanking Me even for the harder times
in your day really applies to you thanking Me for being with you and seeing you
through the harder times in your day.
See the difference? We thank God for the beautiful sunsets. Do we thank God for getting caught in a down
pour?
Our thanksgiving should flow through our
day no matter what happens.
Ultimately, what we are thanking Me for is
My Constant, Constant, Constant Love and Caring for you in all circumstances.
That is the difference between seeking a
new place to explore and seeking Me. The
new place to explore will come and go. I
never will. So thus I satisfy the ALL of
you through thick and thin.
Come seek Me daily and know, be assured I am
with you through it all to strengthen, guide and Love you.
Go into this new holy day thrilled that
with God with you today it will be a new exciting adventure -- better than the prettiest sunset.
