Cheer up.  I am with you!  

But then you say “what have I to be cherry about?  All has gone wrong in my life.”

But I am in your life and thus not ALL has gone wrong!  

Name Me one blessing so far in your life this day.

I don’t care if you have to look for it but just find it and name it.  

Could it be that you can see?   

Then be grateful for this blessing, 

-- or that the rain so badly needed is here, then thank Me for it, 

-- that you can walk to the front door and get your mail, thank Me for it 

-- that you have shoes or a warm coat or a dear friend who is helping you through the situation – then thank Me for it. 

Do not become blind to all the riches and blessings you have even in the midst of catastrophe or sadness or disappointment. 

This is so, so essential because all of these blessings whether big or small are Me in your life.

A loved one dies suddenly – thank Me for the love you have had for them,  or for the neighbour who provides a hot meal, or the funeral people who are so kind and understanding.

Do not only thank them but thank Me for them who provide such loving comfort in the midst of sadness. 

Do not let your thanks stop at the human level.  

Let it travel to the God Level. 

These people would not be so kind if they had not received this kindness from Me!

REVIEW -- #1106 from Feb. 20, 2020

 #1106  Thurs.  Feb. 20  2020   3:30pm,  St. Theresa’s before the Blessed Sacrament

I call you to come --- whether you have a beef with Me, or are cross, or upset, or just feeling ho-hum.

Come to Me and share all the details with Me.

I want to hear you --- your story counts.  I am interested in the smallest detail of you.

Tell Me all that has you bound up so that I can undo your bindings, loosen the grasp of frustration, anger, gossip, hatred, judgment.

When your heart is tied up by these and more, then it cannot worship Me with thanks and prayers.

You want to blame Me for all that has happened to you and I do not mind.

But if you do not bring it ALL to Me how can I help you make sense of it ALL?

So, just come.  You don’t have to be in your Sunday best or all smiles and loving.

Bring Me your brokenness.  

Bring Me your tears.  

Bring Me ALL that has you so tied up that you can’t see beyond yourself.

There is Someone who has the Power to release you from ALL your negative emotions.

And may I gently tell you that you are not the One to fix yourself.

You have to take your soul to the Maker of your soul.
