We think we can start each new day under our own power. But not so!
But that should not discourage any of us. Our eyes should be on the Lord in deep gratitude that we can wake up – a process that scientifically can be shown what happens, yet science is not in charge of this waking up.
So the body awakens. Now for your soul. Do you awaken your soul? Do you awaken to a world of unrest or do you awaken to a World of possibilities, of promise.
Let Me awaken your soul to the delights of being you on this new, holy day.
Let Me reveal to your soul what I need from you today.
Just ask Me “Lord, what can I do for You today?”
But I am not in the business of doing as much as I am in the business of Being.
First, you start your day acknowledging that I am First and Foremost.
You want to dwell in Me and I in you. There is not so much ‘doing’ as there is “BEing’.
You see if you are Being with Me then all the doing that gets done will be My Will for you this day.
If you do not start your day with Me as the Center and Director, whatever you do will be your will for this day and not necessarily My Will.
You will think you have accomplished a lot or a little on your own.
So, thus you grade all you have done on your marking system. I did well here, and not so well there.
Do you see what I mean?
Then you will be filled with pride, or beat yourself up.
Yet, when you do My Will all that will fill you is Joy and Thanks that you have done My Will.
So, if you step aside and chastise yourself, I ask why?
And this may give you the opportunity to examine what is causing that discouragement and to bring it to Me to look at and mend if need be.
By doing My Will you avoid criticizing yourself!
And so if you criticize yourself take note that perhaps it is because it was not My Will you were trying to accomplish.
Let Me open your bodily eyes to a new, holy day, yet more importantly open the eyes of your soul to first BE with Me, tell Me you want to spend the day in My Care and then all else flows from this.
If you fall away from this promise, surrender, well just ask Me to resettle you in My Sacred Heart and I will.
NOTHING is ever lost if you bring it to Me and allow Me to BE with you to guard and guide you through each moment of your day.
With a smile, with great Joy invite Me to BE with you this day all day and I promise I will.
So, you see, surrendering to Me should not leave one downcast. NO, NO.
It enables you to feel great relief that you are not in charge of you or the World.
So, thus the smile of relief and the great Joy of knowing you are walking with the Lord.
