Feed your soul

#633  Fri. Feb. 24/17, 9:15pm,   at home   (feed your soul)

Come, draw near to your Lord and Saviour.  I want you ever nearer and nearer to Me.  And unless you answer My Call you do not move closer.

You can do all things right and good, yet if and when I call you, are you ready to forsake all else and come aside and Be with Me?

I want you to know that there is no more valuable time than the time you spend with Me.

You can enjoy this and that, admire sunsets and sunrises, yet you will never experience anything more infinite than being with Me.

Maybe you are content to stay with the finite world that will all pass away.  How fleeting these moments are --- here one moment and gone the next --- never to be recaptured.

Yet, spending time with Me only builds up your character that can admire the finite as well as look forward to spending time with the Infinite.

How does the soul, which is infinite, ever exist on only a smidging of infinite time with Me a day?  Don’t you think it must be starved?  Can we take time, three times a day to come aside and feed your soul as you take time daily to nourish your body?

Your soul must be in a state of feeling like it will faint due to lack of nourishment.  And, just as the body needs food to sustain itself, so the soul needs My Infinite Food to stay nourished and a good guide for your body.

Come aside.  Do not be afraid to feed your soul more than your body!

Come aside and BE with the Only One who Loves you unconditionally, infinitely --- like when your dear body dies, I am ever ready to caress and nurture your soul.

Save me, Guide me

#632   Tues. Feb. 21/17,  1:45pm, St. Theresa’s, before the Blessed Sacrament
(save me, guide me)

O Come down upon us Holy Spirit.  Enlighten us as to the richness of God’s Words.  We need the Wisdom to accept these Words even if they don’t seem to connect to us.

Save me from being disconnected from God.  Guide me to live out His Words with joy and delight.

Do not let me fall into falsehoods and bitterness.

Open my heart to treasure all that You have so willingly shared with us.

Learning a-new

#631  Sun. feb. 19/17,   6am, at home   (learning a-new)

Did you hear Me whisper your name?  I am with you always as I have said, and I am calling on you always.

I do not yell to disturb you, yet I whisper to rouse you to hear My Words for you this day.

This hour will never come again.  These Words need to be said not to disturb but to awaken your soul to a new day.

Isn’t it marvelous that this hour will never come again!  You then have a chance to grow in My Words, in the knowledge of My Words, in the practice of My Words.

There is to be no hesitation to read My Words.  Just even a few.  Some may be your favorites, others you may have never read before.

Really, since this is a new holy day, you have never read these Words or any Words of Mine on this day, till this day!

So, My Words are new to you each day in this newly created holy day.  How refreshing! You do not have to comment that you have read these Words before, because you have never before been in this new holy day.

So it is like starting over, learning a-new.

Hope in the Lord

#630   Sat. Feb. 18/17,   7:10am,  at home    (Hope in the Lord)

Let Hope fill your heart this day.  Not in a futile sense of Hope.  Not said with a sad and drooping spirit, but rather “I Hope in the Lord”.

You see when we hope it will be sunny, or that the snow will stop, or that maybe we win the lotto, we really have not put all our hope in God.

We hope in finite things over which we have no control.

Yet when we hope in God we put all of our limited being into His Unlimited Being.

And when we do this we cannot be disappointed.

We get disappointed when we hope for something over which we have no control.

We do not get disappointed when we place all our Hope in the Lord because part of hoping in Him expresses the fact that, WHATEVER He decides, is right and proper and is never meant to disappoint.

I can plant tulip bulbs in the fall and hope that they all bloom in the spring.  Or, I can plant tulip bulbs in the fall --- grateful I have them, and grateful I have the strength and energy to plant them or grateful that someone else plants them for me.  And be delighted in the spring if any, some or all bloom.

I have put my hope in the Lord that they will bloom and will not be discouraged if they don’t.  I will be delighted if they bloom, but will not let discouragement enter my soul if they don’t.  Because I have put my hope in the Lord that all will turn out as He Wills.

Do you see the difference?  I hope you do because it will release your soul from having to take on and live in discouragement.

We might say “It can’t get to spring soon enough” especially if the winter has been long and hard.

Is that just a casual comment that does not inflict itself on the tenderness of your soul?  Or is it said in frustration and anger and upset and more frustration?  If so, then you are not living in the hope of the Lord.  You really are not really living with any joy or hope in the present are you.

When we wish things away “I wish spring were here”, “I wish the flowers did not have to die off”, “I wish the beautiful sunset would last forever”, we really are not living in the present, nor even in true reality.

Let us all place our hope in the Lord who made heaven and earth and all that is seen and unseen.

When we do this, we are bound to live in the present with all its ups and downs which can’t discourage us if we have placed all hope in the Lord.  Because all that the Lord does is GOOD.

So start each day telling the Lord that you place all your hope in Him.

I trust Lord that You are in charge of this very day.
I trust Lord that whatever comes is wrapped in Your Love for me.
I trust Lord that you will give me the Grace to meet each situation, not in disappointment, but in ever increasing trust in Your ever present Love.

Lord, I hope in You, I hold fast to You, I thank You for the Graces you will pour over me this day.

Go in Peace.  If you hope in Me, you will go in Peace.
