Moments of Solitude

#449  Sun. Nov. 15/15, 9:10am, St. Theresa’s before the Blessed Sacrament

Quiet My People.  Listen for My Voice that wants to penetrate your very being.

I want you to know My Words and to live by My Words.

Hasten not to make anything up or to try to race ahead.

Let Me Lead you!   Harken even to the slightest suggestion I make.

It could be to smile when you don’t feel like it, it could be to say thanks when you don’t feel like it.  It could be to be silent when you might feel like screaming.

Listen to My Words.  Listen to My Voice. Do not wander around without any guiding light.  I provide Guiding Light.

If there is a decision to be made, ask Me first.  Include Me in all your day.  It is all part of surrendering.

Hear Me call you to prayer.  Do you hear Me call you to prayer?  If you aren’t praying more than you used to do, you are not listening for My Voice.

Because you see, if you were hearing My Voice, and I am always calling!, you would be in prayer more often.

The prayer may not find you on your knees, but it could find your heart turned to Me much more often.

Either in thanks or praise, petition, gratitude, asking.  It will come to Me first and not to you first for answers and solitude.

Note how often you seek solitude – not to read a book or watch tv but rather seeking Me.

Can you count the moments on one hand when you have sought Me to Lead you?

That calls for a moment of solitude!

You have to come aside in your soul and ask Me to Lead you.  It does not take much time at all, yet it covers an eternal union.

“Jesus, I need You!”   there is a moment of solitude between the 2 of us – no one else is involved in this relationship – just the 2 of us.

Beckon Me, run to Me, ask Me.  I am here to teach you moments of solitude.

You may say you are too busy to seek moments of solitude with Me – you are too busy with what?

The other ‘what’ is what keeps you away from Me.  Yikes, who wants to hear that?

Yet, I tell you even if you think you are too busy, you are never too busy to say….

“Jesus, I need You.  Jesus Lead me.”

You are too busy because you have not stepped aside for a fraction of time to speak to Me.

Look carefully at the moments in your life when you have time --- walking, brushing your hair, putting on your tie.

You can’t tell Me that every moment of the day is so occupied with the other ‘what’ that you have no time to step aside with Me.

I ask you to even start very small.  Just once a day for starters to say “Jesus I need You.  Jesus Lead me.”

You will find that this phrase will jump into your consciousness more often once you start this simple practice.

Then say it 3 times a day – morning, noon and night.  Then add it at coffee break, after class.

Soon you will be saying it more than once and each time it is a moment of solitude between the 2 of us.

Don’t you love how I ache to get your attention and be more with you.

My Heavenly Table

#448  Sat. Nov. 14/15, 3:40pm, St. Theresa’s before the Blessed Sacrament

How I welcome My People to My Heavenly Table.

No one is left out of the invitation.  NO ONE.  No matter what you have done or failed to do, each of you will be invited to My Heavenly Table.

But just as I invited you to come aside and spend time with Me and just as you decline saying you have something else to do, that is how some of you will respond to My Heavenly Invitation to come join Me at My Heavenly Table.

Even if I suspect you might refuse, I will still joyfully extend the invitation.

I want no one excluded.  So do not ever point to Me and say I have excluded you.  For I tell you right now that is FALSE.

The evil one will whisper that in your ear, blaming Me for excluding you --- therefore I am not really that great a Loving God after all.

But I tell you, I do not exclude you in the invitation.  Show Me the worst thing you have ever done and I still will include you on the list to be invited to join Me at My Heavenly Table.

Now this does not have to happen just when you die, but come to Me now and enjoy the banquet I have in store for you now.

If you say it, or you hear another say it “The Lord would not invite me to join Him at His Heavenly Table.  Do you know the sins, the wrongs I have done?”  Do not miss the opportunity to tell yourself or another that they have absolutely no right to think He would not invite them.

He Loves ALL unconditionally.  If He was a picky, choosey God then sure some of us might not make it to His Table.

But He is not.  He is ALL Loving, ALL Merciful, ALL Delighted when you join Him and let Him know you are hesitant but still so willing to respond to His Invite.

He does not mind if you are shy or hesitant.  He does ache for you to come aside anyway.

So start small.  Just step aside during your day and tell Me either with great conviction or great trepidation.

“Lord I want to join You at Your Heavenly Table.”

Just start with these simple words.  Even if your heart is shaking and feeling sorry for itself, and unsure of the future --- come aside and say those few words.

Don’t you think that I won’t be delighted to hear from you  --  perhaps for the first time in years.

I tell you right now that when I hear you whisper these words, even in trepidation My Heart will leap for Joy.

A lost sheep has returned to fill My Loving Heart with their presence!

I tell you there will be great rejoicing.

You don’t even have to be the worst sinner --- No, No, No.  Ultimately though you have been lost in the busy world and may have just come to realize your true self in relationship to Me.

I am aching for you to return because My Love loves to be returned to Me.

your Lord and Savior

#447  Thursday, Nov. 12/15      one from bedside book

Come My People.  Step aside from the work day and spend this time with Me your Lord and Savior.

I do not brag about these titles, Lord and Savior, but I want to assure you that your search is over.  I AM your Lord and Savior who comes to Love, to Save, to Caress, to Care for, to indulge you in the Goodness of Life.

Do not be shy to admit that this may be the first time you have recognized Me as your Lord and Savior.  Rather shout for joy that you have found Me and will delight to walk in My Company.

Seek Me first.  On waking seek Me.  Say hello and thank Me for the new holy day.

Before nodding off to sleep seek Me out and thank Me for your day.

Let your search not be in vain, but let your heart find Me in all sorts of places and situations.

Take Me with you.  Walk with Me.  Seek My Advice.  Laugh with Me.  Cry with Me. Seek My Good Counsel.
