The Grace of Discerning

Hone your skills.  Ask for the Grace to hone your skills so as to serve Me better.

This is not a competition.  NO, NO.

This is a most sincere prayer when said sincerely from your heart to My Heart.  Asking Me to make you more aware of how much more you can serve Me.  If that is what you want to do!

Now, do not start making a list of things you think you can/should do to be in a closer, deeper relationship with Me.

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR EFFORTS OR PLANS.

You are sincerely asking Me to give you the Grace to grow closer and closer to Me.

It takes no time to ask, ask and ask again.  Then you must jump back and let Me put into action what is needed in your life to grow closer and closer to Me.

So, when something arises and you don’t feel like doing ‘it’ perhaps take a second or minute with Me and ask Me is this Your Will Lord.  If so give me the Grace to do it.

But do not let it be your brain that discerns, but your soul.

Let Me flood you with examples of serving Me and let your heart soar that I am giving you ALL these opportunities.

Become sensitive to discerning.

Ask for the  Grace of Being Sensitive to Discerning My Will.

Prayerful mode

Oh, My Precious People.  Endeavor to keep Me front and center.  I realize there are many distractions, but please make every effort.

It is never a waste of time to spend lots of time with Me, I assure you.

You will miss NOTHING by spending time with Me.

“O Lord, I have so much to do.”

But I want you to BE, not to be worried about doing.  And if you are so busy doing, how important is it?  Or perhaps I should say it must be very important.

I urge you to not get caught up in doing unless you are doing it with Me and for Me.

How about the dishes Lord?  Well do you do them with Joy as you serve Me?  Cause doing dishes can be a service, so make it a service, keep Me front and center as you do the dishes. 

Do not wander off in your mind to other things, but remain in prayer to Me, with Me as you do the dishes. 

So, it is a prayerful mode I call you to. 

You do Me a service praying instead of wandering around in your own thoughts.

So, one can never say they do not have time to pray.  It takes an extra effort for sure, but each one of us can make a prayer of anything we tackle.

Try to apply prayer to each task.  Washing dishes, your teeth, brushing your hair, working or homework or a project.

Bring Me with you and into whatever you are doing.

It is most simple.  Tell Me you want to be in a prayer mode while doing a task and I will Grace you with that.  The Grace of Being in Prayer.

Work with Me on this project and do not give up in frustration.

Your persistence is a prayer. 

Serving and Joy

Do not crowd out God with other things you think need to be done.  Not so,  not so.

There is nothing else that should stand between you and your God.

Make Me the top priority in your life.  Let all else, tell Me you want all else to fall away and that you want to BE with Me first and foremost and do My Will for the World.

How hard that is when we let other ‘things’ creep in and we let them take first place. If I, the Infinite God, am not first place, what finite thing have you let take over and rule you??

Cause yes it does!  Yes it does rule you or you would not have moved away from Me.

So check yourself when you go to do things and ask if they are of My Making or your making.  Or acceptable from you to be ruled by them.

I am not being mean.  I am endeavouring to help you to discern what is best for you and I am really the only Best for you!

Pray for the Grace to Put Me First, to keep Me First in your life each day.

Beg Me that you will be more attentive to My Voice and act on it obediently and with Joy!

If you are not Joyful serving Me, then you are not serving Me.  So do not waste your time serving Me if you are not doing it with Joy.

Serving and Joy go hand in hand.  So serve Me, sometimes even in the midst of pain and sorrow, with great Joy.

Why would you not be full of Joy to serve Me?

So, check yourself.  If you are doing a task, any task, and are not Joyful, what are you doing the task for?   More importantly, who are you doing the task for ?

If you are doing it to please another, or look good in someone’s eyes, you are not doing it to serve Me, but to serve your pride, your need for approval.  And of course pride does not make you Joyful.  It just forces you to continually seek approval and love.

Whereas, you do not have to continually seek My Love and Approval.  I am with you always, Loving you always, not comparing you to another, just Loving you.   What more do you want?

So, when you feel the need of approval, know that you are not walking with Me because you did not ask Me what do I do next Lord.

If you had, and listened to My Guiding Words you would not be stumbling down the joyless path of needing the approval of others.

Seek Me First ALWAYS!

One finite, One Eternal

Quiet your mind.  Let go of all else and let Me take rest in your soul.  Do not hesitate to ask Me in and quiet all controversy.

Let Me be in charge.  I am in charge and it is so much easier to work with those who realize I am in charge and want to be part of My Plan for the World.

How else will I complete My Task on earth if My Followers will not follow My Lead?

Listen to My Word.  Repeat it to yourself.  Let it sink into your soul so that it can save you in times of distress.

Have you imagined how distressed the world would be if you were not willing to do My Will? 

So, if you are willing to do My Will, you will not be distraught about what is happening around you.  You will be most pleased to serve Me even in the midst of Chaos itself.

Because, if you get distracted by calamities then you are not serving Me.  You cannot serve two masters --- tied up in and worrying about the calamity or tied up in Joyfully serving Me.

You do have a choice.  One is finite, the Other Eternal.

Attach your attention to the Eternal.!

Call me back Lord

The calmness of the day should be yours when you come before the Blessed Sacrament.

If all else does not fall away, then you really aren’t before Me, with Me, but just in the same room, yet being with yourself and your own ideas.

How often have you found yourself physically present but by no means spiritually present with the Lord?

It is a good measuring tool.

Lord, as I sit here am I going over what I have done and what I need to do and only You know that answer.  And by the way so do I!!!

I want you to take such occasions and thank Me for bringing to your attention that physically being here may count for some, but spiritually being here is the only way you and I are going to BE together.

Do not get discouraged if/when your mind wanders but only thankful that each time I will call you back, if you ask for this “Call me back Lord Grace.”

I want you with Me, so of course I will answer.
