#429 Sept. 29/15, 10:15 am, St. Theresa’s, before the Blessed Sacrament
My Dear People I invite you to come into My Presence, wherever you are, whatever you may be doing at this instant, just say to Me:
“Lord I want to be in Your Presence.”
Then I will know that whatever you are doing you will want to do it in My Presence.
This enables you to do whatever it is in a holier manner.
Isn’t that good to know that you will not have to strive to be holy, because by being in My Presence all is holy.
Prayers aren’t even needed.
Yes you can pray if you wish but this dear prayer “Lord, I want to be in Your Presence” – tells Me that your heart and soul are focused on Me, no matter what it is you are doing.
Now you can be watching tv and tell Me you want to be in My Presence and you will note that I will not hesitate to point out to you if this program will keep you in My Presence.
Usually when we say this prayer, at any time, it will take us away spiritually from the task at hand and make the task more spiritual.
When you say this prayer “Lord I want to be in Your Presence” again it relates to Me that you want My Presence and My Guidance at this time and I will then be able to lead you to a fuller ‘being’ in My Presence.
This Guidance may lead you to turn off your tv and turn to your rosary.
This Guidance may lead you not to growl as you are doing the task at hand, but rather to seek to serve Me joyfully through the task at hand.
Calling on Me with this prayer will change you at the moment in the moment and will unite us even closer.
In ‘My Presence’ there is more Love, Joy, Compassion, Consideration, less complaining, more kindness, more reaching out, less of the you that wants to focus only on you and your feelings.
At the bus stop say “Lord, I want to be in Your Presence.”
At a lecture “Lord I want to be in Your Presence.”
Caught in a downpour “Lord I want to be in Your Presence.”
In a very quiet moment even when you think or want to be in My Presence utter these words “Lord, I want to be in Your Presence.”
Don’t you think, know, that is what the Lord is wanting for you all the time.
Isn’t it great when our want and His Want are One! What a great tender union!
Take this prayer with you today “Lord I want to be in Your Presence” and see the doors it will unlock in your life.
