#491 Tues. Feb. 16/16, 10:35am, St. Theresa’s before the Blessed Sacrament
I call. You heed My Words. Eternal Words that will stand the test of all time.
I do not want you to back away from writing My Words because there are still many souls out there who need to hear My Message of Love and Forgiveness.
Can you imagine the heart ache throughout the World and all due to the fact that they do not know about My Love.
The struggles, both national and personal, the strife between countries and within families. It all comes from not knowing and putting into practice My Love.
Do not think for one minute that I have abandoned them, rather they have abandoned Me and My Commandments which are a solid guide on how to live and behave.
As humans, with our human weaknesses, we all need a written guide and I gave that to you for your benefit.
It has nothing to do with trying to keep you subjugated, no, no, no.
It is meant to set you free so you can have more time, energy, joy and happiness to live a good life.
I have generously removed all barriers for you by showing you what not to do thus giving you more time to do what you should, can and will do.
Can you imagine our accomplishments if we all behaved according to the 10 Commandments? How refreshed we would feel each day as we step into a new, holy day.
How productive we would be, yet not run off our feet. How happy we would be because we would not be carrying around our hurts, or trying to retaliate and hurt others.
What freedom the 10 Commandments are!
Yes, they seem like commands, yet look closely --- if I did not make them so concise would you have taken the time to read them?
And they do not leave you questioning. I wanted to make them simple and clear for all to understand.
So now add Love to these.
That is, do not do them out of necessity, but rather do them because you Love the One who Created them.
Sure, we can obey them, but with a sour face and a sour heart? I do not think that is how you should approach being obedient to them.
The Greatest Commandment was to LOVE.
So, let that apply to all the others. Do them because you Love to do what is right and you Love to avoid what is wrong.
You Love the One who was so thoughtful to give you these strong guidelines for your life.
You Love to obey them not to get in His Good Graces but to be able to have a heart ready and willing to receive His Multitude of Graces that can only live in a heart that is in harmony with Him.
These Commandments keep us in line with what God wants for us in our life and gives us a guidepost that points us in the right direction.
Otherwise we would wander hopelessly around seeking the right way with almost a blindfold on. Knocking things over, bumping into things, speaking all sorts of foul language, wanting and wanting more and more and more.
You can see how bruised your body and soul would be without solid guidelines.
So, heed My Commandments with great Joy and Lovingly do as I have asked --- that is if you want to walk closer and closer with Me.
We only get upset with the 10 Commandments when we feel they cramp our style.
It is just like seeing a sign on the road to slow down because of a severe curve in the road.
We can choose to heed the sign and travel accordingly, or we can choose to ignore the sign at our own peril.
Someone put the sign on the road to protect travelers. So has Jesus put signs on our road of life to protect us as we travel through life.
God knew we needed guidelines.
He could have left us on our own, but NO, His Love was poured forth into these commandments to set us free to journey at ease with Him.
What a Gracious God, What a Loving God who did not abandon us to our own whims and follies.
He knew we needed strong guidelines to see us through this life and be happy with Him in the next.
So be ever so grateful for the 10 Commandments.
Thank God daily that He Loves each one of us that much that He wants to keep us safe from harm and free us to live plentiful, productive lives.
