Not In My Eyes

“I bring you these people to encourage you in keeping attentive to what I have asked you to do.

They need to hear these uplifting words of Mine.  They need to know how much I love them unconditionally and how I want them to bring this love to others.

I want to free them from all their concerns and invite them to spend even more time consoling My Sacred Heart.  Even if they add only a few more minutes a day they will be so enriched because they gave up themselves for My sake.

We get caught up in ‘time’ not realizing I give you this time to be spent with Me.  Now that does not mean every waking hour before the Blessed Sacrament, but each moment to be realized that you are in My midst. 

Now do not take your focus off traffic when driving, but think about this.  While you are driving, how many thoughts come into your head?  So you see you do have more time when you can slip an extra thought about Me in there.

Some thought of praise or thanksgiving, some thought of offering.

It is simple.  It will not take away from anything else you are doing, but it will enhance whatever else you are doing.

Speak to Me gently in these moments.  A simple ‘hi Lord’, ‘thank you Lord’, ‘be with me Lord’ recognizes in your heart that I am there in your life.

Sure I love when you can spend time with Me before the Blessed Sacrament,  but you can still console My precious heart by your ‘second thoughts’ directed to Me. 

Bring Me into whatever you are doing.  Invite Me to join you for coffee with a friend, tell someone ‘God Bless’, tell someone how much I love them, tell Me how upset you are. 

Come to Me, speak to Me and with Me.  Leave nothing out.  Make Me the center of all your life and let Me make sense of what sometimes seems to be confusion in your life. 

Hold nothing back.  I want to serve you.  I love to serve you.  My very nature is one of loving service to My beloved.

Do you even see Me using the mop, or cooking some food, or minding the children?  But I AM.  I AM with you in all these things and more.  It makes you laugh to think of Me dusting or cooking – it does paint a funny picture doesn’t it.

But it is real.  I AM who allows you the time and ability to dust.  I AM with you.  So as you dust or whatever, put Me there with you, invite Me to share this task with you.

See what comes?  See how the simple act of dusting will be raised to a sacramental level.  Make it an offering, not a chore.  Invite Me to be part of this offering, because I am the ultimate sacrifice. 

I can raise ALL to be a sacrament.  Have you not realized this before?  Perhaps not.  But with Me and through Me all is possible.

Your dusting need not remain at the human level.  It can become so much more. 

Let Me lead you as you dust, let Me capture the thoughts of your heart as you dust so that you aren’t burdened by this chore, but lifted up to a sacrificial level. 

Imagine, all the cleaning done throughout the world, then imagine that I have been invited to be part of each and every lowly task – can you see how the world would take on a new light?

We keep the light hidden under a bushel and let it out only at certain times when we feel we are doing holy things.  Yet I tell you, you can make all things you do holy!  (Yikes!) Yes it is true.

So just try.  The simple task of washing out a cup – bring Me there as you turn on the water and wipe the glass clean.  We don’t catch on to the numerous graces ‘floating’ around eagerly waiting to be used for the good of all.

And you don’t think that bringing Me into this task will add light to the world?

If I tell you, YES, then it is so.  Do not argue or question.

Just try it and see how specks of ‘grace dust’ (think of fairy dust) will fall all around you and in you.

We expect huge graces, huge bolts of lightning, yet we forgo all the minute specks of grace that add up to a huge light in your life.

It is a gradual process I know.  But oh so worth trying.

Watch Me smile as you take on this simple act of faith. 

If it were not so, I would have told you.

Be like little children.  Be willing to do little things in My name and for My glory and your heavenly good.

This is what I meant to be like little children – they do not look for huge happenings, but take delight in doing the simplest of tasks – throwing leaves in the air, trying to catch a snowflake on their tongue, learning to tie a shoe, gazing at the stars.  These are all wonders to them and their joy is full and complete.

So do not look for wondrous feats to accomplish in My name, but be oh so content in doing the simplest things in My name and do so joyfully and your joy will be increased a hundredfold. 

You will not be craving the Big Moment, but rather treasuring the simple moments that are right before your eyes.

And, would you believe I am as present in the small simple things as I am in the grandiose. 

So do not seek to find more of Me in the grandiose, because then you miss the same amount of Me in all the everyday simple things.

I have blessed ALL – the big and small with My entire presence.  None is more important than the other, none has more grace than the other, none gets more honored than the other. 

In human eyes and minds the Big is always greater.  However, I tell you NOT IN MY EYES.

So, go, insert Me into all you do, big and small and garner so many more graces than you can ever imagine.
