Body/Soul Contract

#267  Thursday, May 22/14, 9:50am, St. theresa’s, before the Blessed Sacrament.

 How I love My People.

I tenderly love every strand of hair, every breath, every muscle, every heartache.

Do not doubt for a mini-second how much I Love you.

Let us count the Ways.

No, let us look at each other and delight in each others presence.  Let us ask each other any question and be willing to share the answer.

There is no question that is too difficult, too foolish, too mundane.

I want you to completely Trust in My Love for you.  You see, sometimes we think we should not ask this or that because it will make us look stupid, foolish, crazy, and thus reduce how we look in the other person’s eyes.

But Love doe not see stupid, foolish, crazy.

Love sees the loved one that I, the Lover, have Created ---  and I only see Good.

I only see Me, God, since I have made you, Created you, in My Image and Likeness.  I can Create no other.

See how much I LOVE you!

“You have searched me and You know me.”

What great consolation eh?

To know that I know every detail about you.  Love every detail about you.  You would have to write down a lot of words if you attempted to list the all of you that I Love.  The ‘layers’ of you that make up ‘you’ that I Love equally and unconditionally.

I do not stop Loving a kidney cell in order to Love a liver cell.

I do not stop loving the liver cell when it gets sick!

I ask you ‘to search Me and get to know More and more of Me.’

The only way we can do this is to let go of analyzing ‘you’ and move into adoring ‘Me’.

When we adore and praise, the more of God that appears in our lives. Do you see what I mean?

You do not have to ask Me to break Me down into body parts and pieces to get to know Me.  That is not who I AM.

Certainly, as the Son of God, I took on the fullness of humanity, yet that is quite easily perceived by the human eye.

I ask you to seek and search Me the Creator, Saviour, and Sustainer.

Do not look for Me in human terms.  That is very limited as you know.

Ache to know with your soul.

Our senses always want to be satisfied with sensual matters.  Yet our soul craves the soul nourishment that only God can provide.

So, set this joyous task for your soul.  Invite your soul to seek out the Lord more each day.

To remove the material obstacles in your life that hinder you from seeing God.

Look for God-bling!

You know how you delight in bling on t-shirts.  Now all of you who read this may not, but take something else that delights your eye senses --- colorful balloons, stars, mountain scapes,  dogs, butterflies and realize they are the bling that catches your eyes.  A shiny motor bike, a windmill, a flowering garden.

Take this bling that is eye satisfying and move it to your soul.  Thank God for this ‘bling’ that delights your senses.

Sure we enjoy the ‘bling’ in our human way, yet we do not realize that this ‘bling’ deserves our gratitude.  God wants us to be a people of joy and delight.  He gives us this eye candy to bring joy and comfort to our bodies BUT more so to our souls.

Thank God from your soul for bringing such joy to your body.  The body He wants to nourish too, but only through the consent of the soul.

Body delights that just delight the body do not enrich the fullness of you --- your body and your soul.

And yet you know when the body sins that sin does not bring fullness of delight to the fullness of you --- your body and your soul.

However, I do not want to drag you there and let you dwell in the darkness of what your body may have done to your soul --- to the life of your soul.

I want you to gather your body and soul together and let one enhance and enrich the other.  Endeavor to make this body/soul contract.

Let neither one hurt either one.

Let us, body and soul, live in harmony so that the ‘bling’ that the body delights in also delights the soul and calls forth praise and thanks to God from the soul.

And vice versa.  Whatever ‘bling’ the soul delights in, may it also enrich the body’s well-being.

And let both cry aloud to the Lord --- “All praise and Glory are Yours.”

Go in the Peace of Christ body and soul in harmony with their Creator.
