His Healing Mercy

#659    Mon. Apr. 17/17,  11:45am,  St. Theresa’s, before the Blessed Sacrament (His Healing Mercy)

People, you are blessed with My Divine Mercy.  Cling to it.  Hold firm to it.  Do not let your hearts stray from this message of My Divine Mercy.

We look around and see how abortion has shattered so many lives and we get cross.  Cross at the woman who chooses it, cross at those who convince her to choose it, cross at those who do the abortion.

Yet, in our anger, we do not call on God’s Mercy.  We call on His Judgment and Condemnation. 

But here is where we have lost.  We have lost the message that He wants those of us who are pro-life to proclaim.

That we have not been called to judge, but to proclaim the sanctity of each person’s life – the woman who has the abortion, the person who suggested it and arranged it, the doctor who performed it.

We have to let them know that God’s Divine Mercy is meant for them too. 

While we are busy condemning abortion, we neglect to include the message of His Merciful Forgiveness which has more power than any, any atrocity performed in the name of freedom, rights, religion, etc. 

Do not bury your precious soul in the atrocity of abortion, but let it sing out to those who have been harmed that there is unconditional Love and Mercy being offered constantly to them so that their precious souls do not feel abandoned and lost. 

We cannot proclaim the atrocity of abortion, unless we are willing to proclaim the immensity of God’s Mercy. 

If they do not hear this, if we are not willing to offer this healing message because our hearts are so distraught by the horrific-ness  of abortion, then we are not acting in God’s Will. 

We are willing to be very upset by it, without seeking God’s Mercy on all involved, and letting them know that His Mercy is available just by asking for it. 

We want to call the person a bad, evil person – whether we mean the woman, the one who forces her, the doctor who did it.

But, that is not the fullness of the pro-life message.

Really, it is not the pro-life message at all because we have not been called to judge the person, but to acknowledge that the deed is wrong and offer, to any and all involved, the Healing Mercy of God.
