Have you talked about Love lately?
Because if/when you do, remember you are talking about Me.
But our love talk is usually focused on the human level, so on the human level we see love found and love lost, love mistreated and love abandoned.
If we were really talking about Love, the Lord would have to be on our lips.
We would ask Him in to survey the situation and help us figure out what has happened to Love in our life.
Perhaps we have gone wrong in calling human love, Love.
If we were to compare it to God’s Love for us there would be no comparison.
Do we invite our souls to be part of the love we have for one another?
It would certainly change wouldn’t it if we had to apply God’s Love to our situation.
We would have to forgive and forget, we would have to be merciful, we would have to stop yelling and calling each other names.
Could we do that --- not as martyrs “oh poor me”, but as a sincere true follower of Christ.
What would we forgive?
What would we hold tight to and not forgive?
We read about what Love is in the Bible, but we never take it out of the Bible and apply it in our lives.
We think they are just nice words, unattainable goals. Like, good luck if you can get that working for you.
Yet, how do we manage to hold onto bitterness, resentment, ugly words, harsh thoughts and yet not hold fast to the definition of Love?
It is a good question isn’t it. Is it because we practice these daily in our lives and don’t practice Love as often?
Why do you think Love was explained in Corinthians?
So My People would have a great guide line!
How many of you have ever asked Me to help you to Love as explained in Corinthians?
But, if I love like that Lord the person will never know how cross, upset, angry, hurt, mad I really am.
Aaaah, so it is about you and your feelings! It has nothing to do with serving Me as I have encouraged you to do.
Remember, I have said “it is not about you”, yet each time an argument breaks out or a dispute or disagreement, look where we go!
We don’t run to Corinthians to refresh how we should Love.
No, no. We rush to ourselves and feed ourselves anger and more anger.
To heck with Loving.
