(while at Eucharistic Adoration, St. Theresa’s, Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Lord suggested I write a book. Here is the start of it – and I will only use the words He gives me to say. He told me it is only His Words that He wants written, none of mine.)(it is now on blogspot as HisWordsHisLove)
(So this is the Lord speaking to me) (His first Words)
“I am with you always. What do you think I mean by that? I am surprised that I have said it so often yet some do not understand it.
While I am with you, you need to know that My Voice which I speak quietly to you is My Voice. Why can’t I share My Thoughts and Ideas with you this way?
You call Me Lord. What do you mean by that word Lord?
Do you want Me to be someone special or someone you can brag about?
Do you think I do not know the reasons in your heart? Have you forgotten I know all before you think or say it?
Now come and listen to some further Words from Me.
Let Me not trouble you with your faults. You do not have to hear these from Me.
What you need to hear from Me is that the Love I have for you goes far beyond any of your faults that you wish to keep bringing to Me.
I know them already, but what you don’t know already is that I Love you above and beyond your faults.
When have you asked Me to show you how much I Love you? Hardly ever.
You are too busy showing Me your faults. Why? Does it make you feel better to say you can admit your faults?
Wouldn’t it make you feel better to have said “I don’t understand how much You Love me? Can You help me understand?”
I am with you always – not eager to hear your faults but eager to hear from you how you want to learn more about My Love.
I feel alone sometimes because you fail to make use of this great gift. You don’t realize, because you are trying to be too contrite instead of trying to be more seeking, more attentive.
Our greatest sin is not believing in My Undying, Unconditional Love.
How can I express it to you so that you will grasp the real Truth and avoid those things that lead you away from the Truth?
Not that admitting your wrongs is not the truth, if you have done them, however this truth pales in comparison to The Truth -- My Love For You.
I guess I want to let you know that I realize you sometimes can’t ‘get it’. But that is only because you do not know how to let go of the stuff that is not even worthy trying to get.
How can I make Myself clear? Hmmm.
If I told you that the sun would shine during the day you would believe Me because that is how Creation works.
However, if I told you that you could survive without the sun but not without My Love and Mercy, you would find that very hard to grasp because all science says you need the sun to survive.
So we place our faith in a constant which we can see and not in the more Constant which we can’t see.
My explanation is not sufficient.
If I wanted you to touch your toes, you may or may not be able to do that. Yet you could when you were small. That is because the body did not know it had limits.
So now I tell you I Love you and you are not young enough in spirit to take it for the absolute Truth – the spiritual body seems to think there are limits to your learning this Truth.
Sitting quietly, asking for nothing, seeking nothing, what comes to mind? Peace. Tranquility, focus, pain, insight, calmness, deep breathing. These are all part of our body’s feelings when we turn off the outside world and just sit quietly.
We need to embrace these quiet times, because they bring us closer to knowing the Love I have for you.
Now stand up and stretch out your arms.
What can you touch? Of course you made sure you weren’t near anything so you could stretch out your arms full length. So you took time to analyze that.
Now if I say stand up, stretch out your arms and feel My Love you will wonder how that will happen and perhaps try to feel it with your hands.
But no, I want you to feel it not outside of you but inside of you. What keeps you standing with arms outstretched?– the hope of finding this Love?
Or the willingness to stand with arms outstretched because the One who Loves you asked you to do this. And for what reason? To give you a starting point for your searching.
We always wonder where we should start with this search. So this gives you a starting point. Now, once you are standing with your arms outstretched what should you do next?
Smile! It is almost as if you have found part of the puzzle and that brings a smile to your face. How does this smile make you feel?
Important? Loved? Imaginary, fake, silly, confident? But you are still smiling. So you have found something that makes you smile. What is it?
Is it something you are looking at that is outside of you or something that you see inside of you? What could that be?
Is it tenderness, compassion, funniness, realization, accounting, bravery, sadness, yes sadness, certainty, jealousy.
Is any of it My Love for you? Or have you confused this with all the other feelings that we experience many days?
Smile because you are Loved, and think no further than that.
So as you stand there with your arms outstretched, smile and know that I Love you. Let nothing else enter your fragile body, but the fact that I Love you.
How hard that is to keep all the other distractions out, but you only have to sense this Love I have for you for a moment. Because once you sense it you will want to experience it time and time again.
And thus you will take yourself to standing with your arms outstretched, and smiling more often. If tears come with this realization welcome them as a new baptism each time.
But then we fall into ‘but I am not worthy Lord,” and off goes the smile, down come the embracing arms and ker-plunk we sink to our sitting position.
You can’t use your sins as an excuse for not allowing yourself to experience My Love.
That is not The Truth.
That is the wiliness’ of the evil one who does not want you to experience My Love.
