#692 Fri. June 30/17, 5:45am, at home (red book) (friends?)
When does the rain fall and I am not there?
When do I call and you do not come?
When do all things happen and I am not there?
Are all of these the same question asked in a different way?
I want to get your attention.
I want you to stop and think “How do I communicate with God?”
If I ask a question, do you think I need you to answer, otherwise why would I ask it?
So let’s communicate. Let’s listen and ponder the questions I ask.
Let us ask God back if we don’t understand the question or if we want to discuss it with Him further.
Don’t we think He wants an answer?
Do we think it isn’t time to answer or that we don’t have time to answer?
Don’t we ask friends questions and expect an answer?
Are we then not friends?
Perhaps that is the reason that when I ask a question you are not ready or willing to answer.
It is a simple way to check out our relationship isn’t it.
How do I respond to God when He calls or asks me to abide deeper and deeper in Him?
Do I ask Him for the Grace to do this or do I simply say “I don’t know how to get deeper in our relationship” and thus do not take on the responsibility to seek Him more and more in a delightful adventure way.
