Hurt Feelings

It is quiet so we can sit and chat.

Isn’t it funny that folks will ask you how do you know My voice.  I often wonder how they expect Me to know their voice!

Let Me start over.  Do you speak to Me as a friend asking for a favor or as a boss expecting some quick fix?  Does your voice come lovingly into My presence but timidly or demanding?

Let yourself not speak in riddles.  Speak to Me plain and simple.

I will not try to leap ahead of your words but will patiently wait as you divulge your concerns to Me.

This relationship is a heart to heart one --  one in which you can share the secrets of your heart with the Heart of all Hearts.

There is always room for your concerns.  However I am not sure if you are always patient enough  to wait for My answer.

You can bring Me your concerns, however I don’t know why you do if you don’t plan to hang around for an answer.

I don’t mean that you have to sit still and wait – though I know this is good exercise for your soul, but you must not run off and seek a solution to your concerns on your own if I do not answer immediately.

Take your time waiting – I should say, take the time I generously offer you to wait patiently.  If I do not answer immediately, then rest assured it does not need an immediate answer.

Have you stretched your arms out lately and said out loud “Jesus loves me”.  All will stand still as you repeat these Words.  Jesus loves me. 

Have you noted lately how much I have been loving you?

Yes you have and I have noted how this love I offer is breaking down walls around your hardened heart.  It is interesting to see that you may go into a bit of a funk but not even for a minute now.  Feeling sorry for you, you don’t entertain like you used to.

Why?  Because you know that is not love – it is not how to love.

It has got to do good things for your bp.

Sit still right now.  Breathe in and out.  There is no sense of rush or gotta get things done is there?

You have taken this quiet time to be with Me and not trying to do other things.

You only grow richer in these moments and the things that need doing will get done in a more relaxed loving manner.

By the way, how is your leg?

You obediently took care of it and also you did not point blame at Me for allowing it to happen.

That is what so often happens – I get blamed because something happens that disrupts your plans.

I do not take the blame upon Myself as a hurt, but I want you to realize that you are changing—for the better.  What a blessing eh?

You gave it to Me.  You surrendered the circumstance to me almost immediately, you did not get cross.  I know you wish you had been more careful, but you even let that go – and surrendered it to Me.

I know your heart.  I know what your plans were and they were good plans – to serve Me through Project Rachel. Yet you have come to realize that PR cannot be the center focus of your life and that I would take care of this young woman and I have.

You did not feel sorry for yourself.

Do you realize what a huge leap of faith that is?  Do you realize how this helps your heart to burrow deeper still into My heart?

How often do we feel sorry for ourselves?  A lot eh?

It is natural – we want the best, the happiest, the self satisfied, otherwise poor me.

So you see the lesson here is ‘how often do I feel sorry for myself?’

The emphasis on who is the center of your life falls back to ‘you’.

I encourage you, each time you start to feel sorry for yourself, get out of ‘your way’ and return to ‘My Way’.  You don’t even love you when you feel sorry for yourself – it is a pity party for sure but there is no love involved.

Interesting eh?  Because you would think that if you are feeling hurt, that you would love yourself more.  But that is not possible when you are feeling sorry for yourself --- your hurt and anger are usually directed at someone or something ‘out there’ so there is no room for love – either love of yourself or love of Me.

It is very interesting isn’t it?  We would think that if I am feeling sorry for myself it is because I love me.  But no.

You feel sorry for your self because you feel unloved.

So that is why I am delighted to see you not linger there at all, and jump back into the arms of Me who loves you unconditionally. 

Not to ignore the fact that someone or something hurt you, but to realize that what I need at that moment is not to feel ‘hurt’ but to experience ‘love’ --- My Love.

We feel hurt because we feel unloved.  But now you know that whatever happens to you does not come from one who hurts but from One who Loves.  So you step back into My Heart knowing that the feelings of hurt cannot survive in the presence of My Love.

You SURRENDER your hurt feelings to the fire of My Love.  You know you cannot quench this hurt that sometimes invades your emotions, but that I can.

What a great revelation!! What a blessing.  You can see how you function much better when you don’t decide to carry these ‘hurt feelings’ within you but let them go, surrender them into My Welcoming Heart.

It is not the hurt feelings that are hard to take, but the fact that you weren’t sure where to put them when they overcame you.  Now you know and it makes life so much easier.

Be thankful, ever so thankful, for these graces you have received and are now acting on.

Can you imagine the store load of graces I want to deliver to you?

Keep asking Me to strengthen you in ALL circumstances and I will supply the graces.

Do not look for miracles but beg humbly for the graces you need to be ever more obedient to My Will.

I delight in the fact that you do not hesitate to beg for these graces.

You know the healing effect they have on your life.  You know the freedom they give your heart to beat easier, your mind not to need to have all the answers, your tongue not to prattle on senselessly or nastily.

You will not regret this adventure to the Center of My Heart.

Continue to love My Mother.  Saint Theresa also says hi – she knows you always said ‘I go anywhere and there she is.’ She thanks you for your little ways, for the many who have answered My Love call in little ways.  Watch for her roses.  She is smiling because she looks forward to surprising you.

So don’t seek them.  But do be most content when you see them.  It is the sign I have given to her that she shares with those on earth.
