Surrender many times

Hush. The night has passed. You can hear the traffic stirring in the street.

How many of us are awake and aware that this is a new holy day?

Is it just another ho-hum Monday, or an anxious start to the day or perhaps someone’s birthday?

How do we look upon this day?  In gratitude, in anxiety, in hope, indifferently?

It is a new holy day.  An opportunity to Love more than yesterday. That is how I want you to see this day.  A great free opportunity to Love Me and others more.

Read Corinthians if need be to see what Love is.

Love finds no fault.  What fault have you already found in yourself this day – even this early in the day?

When we find fault in ourselves, we sometimes want to fix it, other times we will let it get us down.

We can very easily and immediately surrender what we perceive as a fault in ourselves over to the Lord and ask Him to manage that part of you that right now is a distraction to Loving.

Surrender yourself to Him today, yet do not hesitate during the day to surrender all sorts of naggy things that might arise.  Give it all over to Him at the start of the day, yet never hesitate to surrender parts of you that nag you during the day.  Otherwise you might forget your dawning promise to surrender and try to fix it or mull over it during the day.

Your initial surrender does not mean that you need only do/say it once and all is taken care of --- by Me it will be, but perhaps you may forget your initial surrender.

So do not feel “Lord I already surrendered and now I have to do it again.”  Do not let the evil one chide you.  He wants to make fun of your surrender saying ‘oh look your surrender doesn’t really work.’

Your initial surrender sets your mind and heart in the right attitude for the day.  It is as simple as that.  Yet, it does not preclude the fact that you may have to surrender often to Me during the day when this or that arises.

Your initial surrender is not a trick, or a magic potion or a stop to further surrendering.

Let it be your initial reminder of how you want your day to run --- your surrendering all to Me, sets the tone for your day.

Ache to remember that your heart is healthier when it eagerly surrenders to Me throughout the day. 

We seem to feel embarrassed that we said it to the Lord on waking, now we have to come back again and maybe again and again and say it.  Almost like we feel we have to apologize that the first surrender hasn’t carried us through the whole day.

Do you see the devil here?  I do

He wants you embarrassed and apologetic that your first surrender wasn’t good enough and didn’t last very long.

What foolish language.  What a waste of your time.

Do you not see that the more times you feel you have to surrender to Me, the more often you are consciously in My Presence and joyfully want to serve Me?

Rejoice that you surrender yourself and your day to Me more often than once during the day.  It is never too late or too often.

Now rest in this gentle knowledge and understanding.

Come to Me My People. Come to Me often and often and often during this day.  Encounter Me in all aspects of your life.  Engage Me to care for the all of you all the time.

You are My Beloved One.  Come to Me often.  Let us rejoice in each other’s company.

This is a new, holy day filled with My Presence in your life.  Rejoice for the Kingdom of God is at hand.
