Sun. Nov. 15/15, 9:10am, St. Theresa’s before the Blessed Sacrament
Quiet My People. Listen for My Voice that wants to penetrate
your very being.
I want you to know My Words and to live by
My Words.
Hasten not to make anything up or to try to
race ahead.
Let Me Lead you! Harken even to the slightest suggestion I make.
It could be to smile when you don’t feel
like it, it could be to say thanks when you don’t feel like it. It could be to be silent when you might feel
like screaming.
Listen to My Words. Listen to My Voice. Do not wander around
without any guiding light. I provide
Guiding Light.
If there is a decision to be made, ask Me
first. Include Me in all your day. It is all part of surrendering.
Hear Me call you to prayer. Do you hear Me call you to prayer? If you aren’t praying more than you used to do,
you are not listening for My Voice.
Because you see, if you were hearing My
Voice, and I am always calling!, you would be in prayer more often.
The prayer may not find you on your knees,
but it could find your heart turned to Me much more often.
Either in thanks or praise, petition,
gratitude, asking. It will come to Me
first and not to you first for answers and solitude.
Note how often you seek solitude – not to
read a book or watch tv but rather seeking Me.
Can you count the moments on one hand when
you have sought Me to Lead you?
That calls for a moment of solitude!
You have to come aside in your soul and ask
Me to Lead you. It does not take much
time at all, yet it covers an eternal union.
“Jesus, I need You!” there is a moment of solitude between the 2
of us – no one else is involved in this relationship – just the 2 of us.
Beckon Me, run to Me, ask Me. I am here to teach you moments of solitude.
You may say you are too busy to seek moments
of solitude with Me – you are too busy with what?
The other ‘what’ is what keeps you away
from Me. Yikes, who wants to hear that?
Yet, I tell you even if you think you are
too busy, you are never too busy to say….
“Jesus, I need You. Jesus Lead me.”
You are too busy because you have not
stepped aside for a fraction of time to speak to Me.
Look carefully at the moments in your life
when you have time --- walking, brushing your hair, putting on your tie.
You can’t tell Me that every moment of the
day is so occupied with the other ‘what’ that you have no time to step aside
with Me.
I ask you to even start very small. Just once a day for starters to say “Jesus I
need You. Jesus Lead me.”
You will find that this phrase will jump into
your consciousness more often once you start this simple practice.
Then say it 3 times a day – morning, noon
and night. Then add it at coffee break,
after class.
Soon you will be saying it more than once
and each time it is a moment of solitude between the 2 of us.
Don’t you love how I ache to get your attention
and be more with you.
