Sun. May 15/16, 9:10am. St.
Theresa’s before the Blessed Sacrament
I Love My People. I rejoice in each person by name. I call each by name to come to Me, sit with
Me, kneel with Me, stand with Me.
Join Me in learning how to pray from your
heart which is within My Most Sacred Heart.
Do not shy away from this call. It is abundant and profound and holds many,
many Graces.
But sometimes we see our lives as being too
hectic to take time to worship Me. I
understand we can get distracted. But do
you not realize I am calling you, personally, each time, to step aside from
busy and step into My Peaceful Presence.
You see you don’t have any excuse at all
not to come aside when I call. You are
able to make up excuses yes, but they just tell Me you are not interested in
spending time with Me.
Your excuses may sound to you like an
excuse or an apology “If I wasn’t this busy Lord I would certainly spend time
with You.”
But what your excuses are really saying is
that you do not want to come aside and Be with Me. I do not hold any attraction, promises or
greatness, I do not satisfy your time – you would rather spend it doing something
you prefer to do, not something I want you to do for Me.
Why are you afraid to come aside and be
with Me? Is it fear? Is it
indifference? Am I a God that you
proclaim, yet do not really believe in?
Well it seems so. You may say “I am Catholic”, “I am a
Christian” yet what do these words really mean to you? I know what they mean to Me, yet they do not
translate the same way when you say them.
Do you see what I mean? How do you practice your faith? Is coming aside and being with Me part of
your faith practice? How can you
practice the faith you proclaim if you don’t come aside and Be with Me?
I am present in the Blessed Sacrament! Do you truly believe this? If so, then I expect to see you more often.
How do you believe this if you do not carry
out the good works this belief calls for ?
That is, if you believe, then why do you not work to be with Me more
often?
This is a whole new twist to ‘faith and
good works.’
For some, coming aside seems a waste of
time because you feel you could be doing more worthy things. So, do your good works outshine spending time
with Me? Have your good works become
your center?
I tell you, the more time you spend one on
one with Me, the more blessed will be your good works, the more worthy will be
your good works, the more beneficial will be your good works.
