Do not be downcast. Do not look for solutions. Look to Me.
If you have Me in sight you can’t, won’t be
downcast.
This feeling overcomes us sometimes because
we feel that all is lost.
But, if you have Me, all is not lost. So, therefore, when you feel all is lost, you
do not have Me.
What a great measuring stick. You can’t say I believe in God if you are
downcast. The both just do not, cannot
go together.
What great reassurance for our soul that
when we feel downcast it is an indicator that you have stepped away from
Me.
So if you feel despondent ask yourself
“Where did I put Jesus?” Because you
certainly have put Him not at the center of your life.
Did I leave Him in the car, behind a chair,
in church?
If you are despondent then you have
misplaced Jesus. Did you intentionally
remove Him from the center of your life or did something happen ever so gently
that pushed Him from center stage?
Did you take your eyes off Him and focus
your gaze on something that has drawn you into despondency?
Remember, if you keep your eyes on Me you
will not be despondent. It is the
TRUTH. When you fail to Believe in Me
fully, Trust in Me fully then despondency has easy access to your emotions.
Focus on Me – your Saviour and all else
will fall into place and make sense.
There is no sense in despondency.
