I DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD? -- #1382 from July 6, 2022

My soul yearns for the Living God!

Isn’t it true that ultimately, sometimes without knowing it, my soul yearns for the Living God.

We all ache to live to our fullest worth, our fullest potential without realizing that we cannot accomplish this without His Loving Help.

Yes, we have to choose God, to choose to follow God, but He is ALWAYS there ready to be followed.

Are you willing to choose God and then, by more of His Graces, ready to follow Him?

Saying “I believe in God” does not always translate into following God.  Right?

How many times have we said the Creed “I believe in God”, yet not fully grasped what that should look like in real life.

What burdens are we carrying that we are not willing to hand over to God?

Does this kind of action go against what we have said “I believe in God?”  

Does that phrase just mean I believe in a super force, but do not have to take that belief any further?

Do I believe in God so much so that I am willing to follow Him wherever He goes, wherever He wants me to go?

So you see, the words “I believe in God” are only words unless we act them out, live them fully, hand the All of me over to the ALL of Him.

Don’t walk away from the phrase “I believe in God” but walk into it, willing to let Him, in whom I believe, lead me wherever He wishes.

“I believe in God.”  A short sentence that has the fullness of life within it if we will let Him act in our lives.

Why not?

So, if I do not let Him lead me, does that really mean “I do not believe in God”?

Maybe we had never thought of it that way before.

So, unless I surrender, I let Him lead me, I cannot truthfully utter the words “I believe in God” in all honesty to myself and to God.
