(the Grace of silence)

The silence prevails. 

Isn’t it a delight to appreciate silence!  

I want to BE with you in silence.

No talking from either of us, no praying, just being silently together.

What a grand time, well spent.  

Neither of us feels uncomfortable or feels the need to talk.

Can we sit with any other in silence without thinking something should be said.  

Who will break the silence?  What should I say?

But, you can sit with Me in silence, in peaceful silence not needing to utter a word.

Because I know you, I know all about you.  

And, through Grace, you come to realize that you are, in this silence, learning more about Me.

How can you learn about Me in silence?  

It is just learning the lesson of silence that I want you to experience.  

That is certainly learning, thru being obedient to silence, that you learn more about Me.  

We try to shelter ourselves, protect ourselves by using words.  And of course that is part of being human.  

But I want you to nourish your soul.  

And that does not come through human words as much as it sinks in deeply when we select to Be in My Presence, in silence.

Many times we get busy with our words before the Lord.  

But I truly challenge you to sit in silence with Me.

Delight in the moments of silence that I give you.  

They will come with a notice from Me “time to be silent”.  

Then receive the Grace of Silence in your soul so that you can live out these moments of silence.

Pray for the Grace of Silence and I will pour it over you.   

So often, and there is no condemnation here, we get busy and pray.  

Now you have an alternative form of prayer--- so take advantage of it  --  on the bus, at a stop light, before/after meals, gardening.  

The moments are endless and so are the Graces that pour forth from these moments.

So, you are not only Graced to pray in silence, to be with Me in silence.  

You are then Graced with the Graces that come forth from Being with Me in silence.
