In All Bad Circumstances

I have called you aside again to share with you more of Me.

What do you have to be thankful for?

Family, faith, friends.  All that happens to you whether good or bad in your eyes?

Now that is a whole different story.

We are always most thankful when things are going well, but not so much when things seem to be going against us.

How Lord, how do I remain thankful in the midst of ‘bad happenings’?

Have you asked Me to help you with this knowledge or is the above sentence said in frustration rather than honest asking?

If you honestly want Me to help you understand and apply thanks to each and every situation I will tell you.

First, you have to throw out all that you have presumed and practiced in attitude and reaction over the past years.

The only way to throw this out is to ask Me to come in and change it all.

You told the young PR woman that what she sees as tears of depression, she can readjust and look at these tears as tears of grief that I have graced her with so she can mourn her loss properly and continue to heal. 

So the same goes for you Margo.

Change your attitude towards ‘bad’ things that happen.  Look on them as being allowed by Me and then come to Me and seek My guidance as to how to see the fuller picture through My eyes.

Do not be blinded by the evil one who wants you to see such things as hopeless and horrible.

Come to Me, run to Me, sit with Me, sit in the peace of knowing that I am God.  I will make all things right.  Believe in this, Trust in this.  Lean on Me.  Do not lean elsewhere.

I am the ONLY WAY.

You may question Me ‘why this?’, ‘why that?’.  I may answer. I may not.  But you must believe that I have heard your plea and will ease your pain and distress.

Continue, if you wish, to keep throwing it back in My lap instead of trying to figure it out in your head or let it upset your soul.

You do not have to know all My plans for all;  you have to believe that My plans will evolve into Truth and Right all in good time.

So stop your heart from puzzling and trying to make sense of ‘bad’ things.

Put My hand and heart over it right away.  Put Me in charge of figuring it out.  Put your heart at ease.

It just struck you about the young man who was murdered several years ago and it has not been solved.

Put Me there now. Believe that I know who did it, believe that I love the person who did it as much as the young man they killed.  Proclaim to your heart that both are My beloved.

You see we take love, My salve, out of the equation by thinking how awful the murderer is and thus you do not expect Me to love him/her and thus remove Me from the scene.

Do you want to know who killed him?

You don’t have to know.  But perhaps the parents would like to know.

I know.  So come before Me, bring the parents with you in prayer and sit with Me and ask that if knowing the assailant will make all things right?

If you know will you forgive?

If you never know will you still forgive?

Therein lies the solution to ‘bad’ things that happen.

Are you willing to forgive?  It is darn tough but it is the only thing that allows peace and righteousness to resettle in your heart.

You have allowed the person who did the crime to destroy you too!  Do you want to give him/her permission to do that to your heart and soul?

The evil one sure wants you unforgiving and revengeful.  Because he wants your soul – he wants your soul to suffer as he suffers.  Misery does love company.  Not because he loves you – never, ever!  Only to try to satisfy his need.

His need is loneliness.  He wants you lonely – which equals hopeless, never satisfied, always seeking for what you can never have.

Is that how you want to live?  And really it is up to you.  You can choose the same road as the evil one.  And rest assured it is an endless, winding, creepy, unhappy road.

He wants you to feel that My Way, the Way that begs you to forgive, is false and faulty.

Yet he knows it is the only Way that leads to eternal happiness.

When I say Choose Life, I really mean that My Way is life.  His way is death.  It is not abortion.  The picture is much bigger that that.

If you say I Choose Life – then be prepared to choose forgiveness – choose to receive it and choose to give it. 

If you are not doing this, or at least opening your heart to receive it, begging Me for the grace to give it, then you are not pro-life in the narrowest and broadest sense. 

So in the case of this young man who was murdered come to Me.  Ask Me to help you love the perpetrator and forgive him – but really, if you love him as I do, forgiveness is already flowing.

And come with the parents in prayer before Me and beg for the grace to forgive – be sincere, be still, don’t rush, be prepared for nothing, but just come to Me and ask.

Not to bring him/her to justice – but a heart full of forgiveness.

Now bring Me the murderer.  Just bring him before Me now. 

Look how he struggles and staggers towards Me.  Look at his lifeless eyes.  He thinks I will condemn him.  Whisper to him that this is the Maker of Love, the Lover of all that is seen and unseen.

Take his hand and walk with him – he aches to be whole, he yearns for peace, he stumbles under the weight of this sin.  He cries for peace and it does not come.  He struggles for the next breath.  He sighs because of how hopeless he feels.  He moans the loss of his goodness and innocence. He can’t love because he feels unlovable.

Hug him.  Bring him to Me.  I will ease His pain.  I will caress the hand that murdered and make it whole again.

Tell Me you really want to love him as I love him.  Beg Me for the grace to love with such unconditional love.

In all bad circumstances, run to Me and beg Me to give you the grace not to be buried under the news story, but rather to be loving all those involved.  Love them to life.  Perhaps not human life, but to eternal Life in Me.

This will not be an easy task.  It will take a lot of your will power to put My love in charge instead of your vengeance and bitter reactions.

But it is so well worth the effort!

It is all part of growing ever closer to My presence in your life.

It will certainly not harm you.  It will free you to adore and love more and more and more.

So bring each stressful happening to Me – big or small and beg Me to pour more of My love into your heart and over the situation.

It may seem like a futile task BUT IT IS NOT.

For each time you apply My love to the situation and over you, the greater your heart will grow in love, in loving.

It certainly will not hurt your heart.  And it is more important for your heart than even the blood that courses through it!

Come aside and learn from Me – be patient with you;  this is a huge turn about for your heart, but give Me permission to make this happen in you.  And since your will will match Mine, it will be done.
